Lay waste to the land and devour everything in you path.
“Side scrolling shoot ‘em up” take on the subterranean world of earthworms, sans the shooting.
Players become an earthworm as it moves though the ground, collecting power-ups and devouring the enemies it can. Power ups are not instant, once devoured the power-up travels the interior of the worm till digested and activated. If an enemy contacts the worms body or is too large to devour the worm loses a segment and resets many of the powers, if the worm loses too many segments it dies. Regular Boss battles are simply heavy waves of organized small enemies that must be devoured to be defeated. As the worm moves through the ground it leaves an empty tunnel behind it. In the Mega Boss battles (mole, Bird, Fisherman) the goal is to tunnel out enough earth below the boss to cause a collapse, while avoiding getting killed.
Power-up/Resulting Effects
G – decreases time till activation of power-ups
M – lets the player devour larger enemies
S – increase speed
L – adds life segments, but makes the worm longer = more body area susceptible to attack
C – shield , prevents enemy contact for decreasing life segments
A - splits a worm in two, half the length of the original, which then move together in a cork screw pattern together but are essentially separate worms
